Eyebrow Microblading vs Machine Brows
Microblading was the original brow tattooing technique, and it was almost entirely replaced with tattoo machines. However, as new styles became popular and methods evolved, especially eyebrow feathering, beauticians realised that the microblade tool could provide fine, natural-looking hair. Popularity has been resurgent, with brow artists swinging back to using blades rather than needles. This resurgence has seen microblading sisterhoods emerge as talented brow tattooists refine their techniques. Michelle is well respected for her microblading eyebrow approach, specialising exclusively in brow feathering.

Eyebrow Feathering
Eyebrow feathering describes the outcome of microblading. It is a semi-permanent brow tattoo technique that creates full natural hair and more beautiful brows. It is also called a hair stroke tattoo because of its realistic effect on the appearance of individual eyebrow hairs. However, not everyone is a good candidate for feather brows, and you need an assessment with Michelle to determine your suitability.
Benefits: Feather brows appear very natural. Each stroke of a cosmetic tattoo by a skilled artist resembles real hair.
Cons: Because of the shallow depth at which we penetrate the pigment under the skin, feather brows wear off the quickest of all the eyebrow tattoo techniques. As a result, they require touch-ups. Clients typically return every 12 months for a colour boost.
Who is it best suited for? Eyebrow feathering is ideal for anyone with thin or patchy brows who desires a subtle shape enhancement that emphasizes natural hair definition.
